Hola!!

Hi Lovies!! I miss you guys so much! ~ I've been very busy this past week taking care of my home, my family, and myself. I did make it to Jeju this past Monday which gave me space to relax, release, and regroup. I spent over an hour in one of the healing rooms reading, resting, and falling asleep. I woke up drenched, feeling like I just had a good workout but didn't have to exert myself like I actually did. This is one of the reasons why I love this place so much. I lay, or sit and the room does the rest along with my willingness to stay in the room long enough for body to receive what it needs. I fell asleep, which wasn't my intention at all but my body had other plans. Don't you just love how your body tells you exactly what it needs. We humans have a slight issue with the way this works though. We don't listen long enough to what our bodies are telling us, what signs its gently (and sometimes not so gently) showing us. Slow down and listen, your body i

Field trip to the Apex Museum with our Homeschool Group! Yesterday’s fieldtrip was to the Apex Museum located on Auburn Ave. in Atlanta. If you’ve never been, it’s a must see exhibit. The kids and I learned so much about our history as a people, the great kings and queens who ruled and built nations full of culture and royalty. Our tour guide was wonderful in the way he handled all the different ages in our group. I loved the way he taught all of us to change the way we have been taught to say, “my ancestors were slaves”, to my ancestors were enslaved people. Wow!, what a difference it makes when it’s communicated that way. One of the best exhibits to me, was the Timeline where the kids learned that our ancestors made the first mathematical calculator and that Africa was first named Alkebu-Lan . The Museum is located in the heart of “ Sweet Auburn ”, one of history’s wealthiest black populated neighborhoods. It is also the birth home of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The pictur

Exactly What I Needed

Last week Tuesday I had a full two hour pleasurable experience at The Sole Spa . Yes, in the middle of a Tuesday afternoon I dropped everything and decided it was finally time to go and allow my body to receive some pampering. {Thank you Honey for surprising me with such a gift, for no special occasion, just simply giving me something I would thoroughly enjoy. You like doing things like this for me and I'm absolutely grateful. It was just what I needed to prepare me for the eventful weekend that I/we had.}  The Sole Spa specializes in reflexology and foot massage. They also provide full body massage from head to toe as well. I've had reflexology performed on me before but this, by far, has been my best experience yet. My appointment started with a 60 minute body massage that was a combination of deep tissue and Swedish technique. I asked for that combo because there are certain parts of my body where I need deeper, more focused penetration. Over the years this has change

Stylish Consignments~The Beautiful Tierra Destiny Reid

Saturday afternoon I had the pleasure of celebrating the 2nd year anniversary of Stylish Consignments with shop owner Tierra Destiny Reid and her lovely staff of beautiful Ladies. Stylish Consignment opened it’s doors two years ago and ever since then has been a growing figure in the Lilburn, GA community. They’ve provided their customers with classy, stylish, professional and affordable clothing. They offer a variety of hang-bags, shoes, dresses, tops/bottoms, and jewelry galore to choose from. From the time you walk in you’re greeted with such class, care, and professionalism by the young ladies that it leaves you feeling like royalty. These ladies know first hand what it means to provide excellent customer service; literally the kind that keeps you coming back for more. At Stylish Consignments you will find the latest trends at 40-80% off the original value. You will find name brand items for less and designer shoes and bags for a fraction of the original price. One of the best way

Hi Lovies

I had a full weekend and I am exhausted to say the least but I’m ready for a wonderful week ahead! Yesterday I had the opportunity to celebrate with one of my favorite consignment shop second year anniversary. I’ve got lots of pictures and a wonderful story to come. Last night me and the Hubstar hit up a new spot in the heart of Buckhead called, Beluga Martini Bar and we had a freakin’ BLAST!! The live band was off the chain!! I’ll be writing a review about it this week on yelp and I’ll be sure to let ya’ll know when I do. Friday my kids and I visited Grandma’s. Don’t you just love Grandma’s? I was in need of a new make-up bag and who do I call for that, Mom of course. She’s always got the good stuff. Shopping in her closet is like shopping at one of the finest thrift stores in ATL, LOL. We also hit up a few library’s in search of one of the American Girls books for Gabby. She’s in a book club and needs to get ready for that. This week Hubby and I have some birthday celebrations to a

Fabulous Finds Friday #5, I Got ROTD BABY!!

Whoot Whoot!!! I'm a Yelper for Atlanta and I made ROTD {review of the day}!!! {pic taken at the infamous Planet Hollywood in Orlando, Fl in Downtown Disney!} Do you Yelp? If so add me as a friend so we can keep up with each others reviews, travels and the such. This morning I woke up to find fabulosity sitting in my inbox from my fellow yelpers. Yelp.com is a review site that anyone can join for free and write reviews on restaurants, stores, different venues, etc, etc. I joined back in April when I wanted to broaden my writing and I figured since I’m always out and about sampling new tastes, places, and people (<---- not literally, lol) why not write about it. Check out my reviews here, lisacreviews.yelp.com This is truly a Fabulous Find!!
