Me And My Boo

Image
Last night I took a moment to stop, smell the roses, and breathe. I cuddled up on my couch with Hubby and watched two movies. Lately we have both been on the go so last night we decided that although we enjoy spending time doing things away from home, we also have a beautiful home that we'd like to enjoy just the same. On top of that I started feeling a little under the weather on Monday with a scratchy throat and sore muscles so the rest was much appreciated. He took this time to nurture me with a sweet foot massage and a yummy bowl of oranges, you girl was all smiles. This picture was taken by our friend when we were out at a couples dinner party at JCT Kitchen & Bar . Have you been? The food is crazy delish!

Your Time, Your Bidding

“I do not want to be the leader. I refuse to be the leader. I want to live darkly and richly in my femaleness. I want a man lying over me, always over me. His will, his pleasure, his desire, his life, his work, his sexuality the touchstone, the command, my pivot. I don’t mind working, holding my ground intellectually, artistically; but as a woman, oh, God, as a woman I want to be dominated. I don’t mind being told to stand on my own feet, not to cling, be all that I am capable of doing, but I am going to be pursued, f*cked, possessed by the will of a male at his time, his bidding.” — Anais Nin

Escape Routes Meetup Atlanta at Twelve Hotel

Image
Do you play and are you playing to win?? Last week I was invited the Atlanta Escape Route Meetup event. If you haven't heard about it already, Escape Route is a reality t.v/game show that airs on NBC at 8pm eastern on Saturdays. I had a great time watching the teams have fun with each other on the stage as they answered questions from the audience and confidently stated why the thought their team was going to win. They were hilarious and very competitive in a sporty kind of way. The ballroom was filled with many supporters, fans (young and old), media, and guests who came out to meet the teams up close and personal. One of the team members said that Atlanta was the best meetup thus far. It was great getting to seeing all the different personalities of the teams and seeing "who's who" of the bunch. Tami Reed, Talking With Tami was the Moderator for the event and she did a fabulous job, as always. iJustine  (digital host) and Rossi Morreale are t

Yelp Atlanta Hall of Fame 2012

Image
Last week Wednesday evening was the 1st Annual Yelp Atlanta Hall of Fame event and I had the honor to attend. This event was to celebrate those Yelpers who truly have made a difference in the Yelp community this past year and have had an impact on other Yelpers in some way. All who were awarded deserved it for their dedication to making the Yelp community an awesome place to write reviews and be a part of. It was great!  The food was awesome, the drinks were delicious, and the music by Megan Jean and the KFB was rocking!!! I danced until I couldn't dance anymore. This was my first introduction to this band and I was thoroughly impressed with how much I enjoyed them. Have you ever been mesmerized by someone on stage who is fully engulfed in what they are doing that it makes you feel like you are one with them? That's exactly how I felt. They drew me in with their lyrics, music, and talent, and love for what they do, I was in the zone! The even

During your busy day remember to stop and smell the roses. They are all around, just waiting for you to take notice of them. Take a deep breath, inhale, and smell.

One Night With Rascal Flatts Changed Me!

Image
On Thursday evening I had the pleasure of attending the One Night Only Movie Event for Rascal Flatts .  I've never been much of a country music fan, but this was an opportunity provided by the wonderful people at One2One Network , and I'm always open to trying something new. When we first arrived at the theater, 20 minutes before showtime, I was a little concerned at the underwhelming turn out.  Usually, when I'm given passes to these kinds of events, there is a huge turn out to contend with, and early arrival ensures things go smoothly. Friday was considerably different, as the theater was empty and there was no long line of thronging fans, movie go-ers, or event participants.  It was just me and hubby, trying to find our passes.  Even a local radio station, which apparently had given away tickets to the show was all alone in the lobby of this small theater.  I was becoming concerned. I didn't know anything about Rascal Flatts before attending this event,
