Where's Lisa C?

Where has Lisa C been? Is she coming back? These must have been questions rolling around in your head over the past week. It's been rolling around in mine. As a matter of fact I'm seriously going through withdrawals. I miss you guys so much. As the week went by I thought of many of you, old friends and new. I could take this little time that I have right now to list all of you but I'm not going to, you know who you are. Being away has shown me how much I enjoy this world of the blogosphere. I've reflected on what my presence means and the value that I have to offer, I don't take it lightly. Now for the 'what's been going on' part. My internet connection has been down and up, down and up. I can't keep a connection. Right now I'm sitting at Apple Bee's, a neighborhood restaurant

I Think I Need 2 Clear the Air.....

In my last post the summary was written by my daughter about her father, not me about my Dad. It was D. (<---- that link is worth a click) that spoke at the High School last week Thursday. My two oldest and I went to support my love. Either way, the comments were great!

My Dad was asked to speak on motivation day, at Fredrick Douglas High School in Atlanta yesterday. My Mom, Dave and I went with him for support. It was me and my brothers first time ever in a High School, it was fun! We got to hear our Dad speak and motivate the many teenagers who were in class. He encouraged them to hold on to their dreams and to always believe in themselves. David and I not only got to sit in classrooms but we got to sit in desks too, just like the students. We ate lunch and listened to many of the other adults who were there to speak as well. I learned some of the things it takes to be a teenager learning how to be an adult. I also noticed that some of the girls were pregnant, way too young to be pregnant. I also noticed many of negative attitudes the students had. I felt sorry for them. I learned how negative and positive influences can make or break your day. I could tell my parents were having flashbacks of being teens again. I was proud (and always will be) to b

Never lose sight of the fact that your most important relationships are at home. Spend time nurturing and developing them everyday. And then let the love that starts there overflow into the rest of your life. ~John C. Maxwell See my other Thursday's Thought of the Day here !! Check out Suzy's & Sincere's Thought of the Day!!

Image
My friend Dariana over at Charmed & Dangerous has a meme going on called Flashback Friday's. She started this for the purpose of going back in the past and pulling out some of your goodies and sharing it with your fellow bloggers. It can be pictures, events, music, a personal story and so on and so on. It's open to all who wants to join in and take a trip down memory lane. Let's have some fun with it!! Tonight I'm feeling kinda friskay...lol!, so I'm taking you back with a video by an artist who I dig very much. She's beautiful, sensual and alluring in many ways. This song has a hidden message behind it, listen and see if you can figure it out ;) OH MY! Check out my other Flashback Friday's Here !
