I was born to be a Diva, Were You? Giveaway!!!

Image
I love wearing tee's. White tee's, jersey's, lightweight tee's you name it I got it. If I want to wear something comfy I pull out a pair of jeans or in the hotter months a pair of shorts and throw on a tee to complete my look. It's one of my favorite pieces of clothing that I can wear, run after my kids in and still look pretty darn cute at the same time. If you're anything like me then you especially like the ones that make people look twice and ask, what does your shirt say? You know, the ones that are catchy, thought provoking, or hilarious. Like the one I'm wearing in the picture, Divalocity! Did somebody say Diva? Oh yeah, that's me...lol!These days everyone is a "Diva" so whatever that means to you this is the perfect tee for you to express that. With the many different fashion styles out there you can't go wrong with adding a tee or two to your wardrobe. MLDTee's is just the place to find these eye catching tee&#

It Was Intense But The Debate Is Over!

Image
It's been a few months now, and I have to say we gave it our best try. But much to our disappointment the Intense Debate comment system has officially gotten the boot. Lisa had been using the Intense Debate comment system for all the reasons we covered in our previous post about it ( here ). While we are sad to part with all these cool toys and lovely integration with the blog, the ever illusive bugs just became more than Lisa (or I) could bear (to keep fixing). Even when, after weeks of missing comments from readers using Internet Explorer and the bug suddenly managing to fix itself...sort of, Lisa would still get emails from time to time reminding her otherwise. The list of other nuisances and quirky issues eventually became too erratic to keep up with. Ultimately it got to a point where Internet Explorer readers couldn't even access the blog. An error message would pop up as the page was loading and redirect them somewhere else. We removed the Intense Debate widge

Help Me Nail This Down!

Image
Lately I've been having a heard time growing my nails. I don't bite them. I'm not doing anything different than what I've been doing, washing dishes, giving the kids baths, shampooing hair etc. etc. Just the usual Mommy duties but I just can't seem to get them to grow any more. So on my quest for a good nail strengthener I came across one , but I'm not about to spend the $15 that it costs. I heard it's really good and would help my nails to grow but I'm not about to spend that much! Ladies, I need your help. What do you use to help grow your nails? Can you recommend a nail strengthener that doesn't cost an arm and a leg?

It's Summer Time - Let the Games Begin!

Image
Even though we don't take an official "summer break" from homeschooling, the lessons slow down considerably and the kids have a lot more free time than usual. One of the things they enjoy doing the most is playing on their PS2. It really is incredible to watch them play together, especially trying to figure out how our little 3 year old has become so proficient at some of these games. When we first bought the system for them our biggest challenge was finding age appropriate games. That has never been an easy task considering the 10 year range in ages (of the 4 who can play). I always try to find games that will keep everyone's interest, and are for at least 2 players. And I get excited when I can find something that will allow 4 players to play with their multi-tap so no one has to wait a turn. Beyond that I must consider that astronomical cost of these games. How do you parents do it? Long ago I found my solution for saving some dough on the games, it was to

I Can't Believe She Ate All That...

Image
And The Winner Is!!!! On Tuesday my daughter kicked butttttt at the teen "Food Fear Factor" event!!! When I say she kicked butt I'm serious. The girl swallowed things that should not be mixed together. At least that's what one crying kid said. He was so done that he got up from the table with tears running down his face saying, this is crazy, how could they make us eat that? I say, you shoulda known what you were getting yourself into when you come to an event that clearly said "eat at your own risk"..lol. My baby went in there with a mission, she was not about to lose or lose her stomach. Don't tell her but I think she thought the grand prize was going to be something like a large sum of money, baby...not at the library. I'm glad she thought what she did because it gave her motivation to eat this stuff. For round one she had to eat, baby food mixed with Jello (top middle pic). Round two, mint chewing gum followed by sucking on a lemon (it

Can I Love You, Truly?

Image
Don't go. Why? Because I need you. I'm scared. Of what? I don't exactly know....but I am. I'm, I'm missing you already and you're not even gone yet. Are you still going? Ok, I know, you have too. But I'm going to miss you. Miss you something terrible. I feel so alone. But I can...I can let you go and just be. It's what you want, right? To just be? Ok...done. Lesson ~ To truly love, you have to sacrifice. You have to give even if it hurts and even if you're afraid. If you truly love then you will put yourself aside, and let life live. Let love be free. That's-true-love.
