Back in February David and I took a trip to Jackson Beach Florida. We had so much fun. I was happy to get away and spend time with him. He was going for business and I for pleasure. We both satisfied what we were there for. It had been awhile since an opportunity of this kind presented itself. When it came up we were both ready and eager to go.  We spent two nights and three days and our hotel was five minutes away from the beach. It was perfect. We didn't get to do much site seeing but we weren't there for that. He was there for business, I was there for pleasure and we used that time to marry both.  A friend recommended the book in the picture below. He said I needed to read it and when I was done I'd know why. I read it in the two days while I was there. I had the pleasure of reading, The Beautiful Disruption by GG Renee and was asked to write about it. I was so moved by her story, and the familiarity of it shook me deeply. Reading a good book is one of the things that brings happiness to my life. If you know me by now you know this about me. It brings me pleasure beyond measure.  Before I'm finished reading a book I always know which book I'm going to read next. I always have at least two to three lined up and ready to go. I used to try and read multiple books at once, but it never works for me. It's too much of a distraction and plus I like to give the book I'm reading my undivided attention.   I use Goodreads to keep myself organized and set my reading goals every year. Two Sunday’s ago was my book club’s last meeting for the book Eat Pray Love. A little while ago I wanted to create something with the women in my family to get together and spend quality time with one another, that’s when the book club was born. We took our time with this one and met once a month to discuss, fellowship, eat and enjoy each other’s company. It was a job well done and each and every one of us are looking forward to the next book. Someone mentioned, The Help. Heard it was good so maybe, just maybe. Elizabeth really and truly hit home with this one. I’m talking heart wide open, spread on the table for all to examine, poke, and prod. Many times when reading I felt as if I wrote these lines. I was like, yeah, that's how I felt, that's what I needed or didn't. It felt good to read someone else's story of trails, tribulations, joy, and freedom and be able to identify with them. I have so much time to do some of the other things I love to do other than blogging, it's been wonderful! I love to curl up and read a good book. It doesn't matter what kind of book either. I love romance novels, self-help, erotica, fiction, drama and so on and so on. Well, the other day I was at the library, by the way I don't think I ever mentioned that the reason I started going to the library and not my usual star bucks or the local book store is because they sell way too many sweets so I had to stay away. How else am I going to maintain this hot mama figure. Anyways back to the library. While I was there I spotted a book on my way in that had a very interesting title so I grabbed it up and didn't even read the inside or back cover until I sat down. I do that sometimes, it's a quick way to find books without having to browse up and down the isles or look it up on computer plus it doesn't cut in to my allotted "me" time.
