House Cleaning...Ya Think?

Yes, I do need to clean up around here. But it will take time as with everything else. Baby has his own plans so we're pretty much working around his schedule. Which is laid back and not hectic. It's all about eating, sleeping, and you know the rest.

Guess Who's Back???

Wow, that was long. So much has happend this year. Things were looking like they were going to get pretty bad, and they did. Details to come. Throuhg it all we have survived and the new baby is here. He is 3 weeks and 2 days. As beautiful as he can be. We named him Joshua Emmanuel, D. chose his first name and I chose his middle. Everyone is adjusting well. He was the smallest baby I've given birth to, so far. He weighed 7lbs 13oz, first baby under 8lbs, which I was grateful for.

April 17, 06 - The Day of Our Move We knew this day was coming. We were ready, at least that's what we thought! Downsizing from a 4 bedroom home to a 3 bedroom townhouse was going to take some creativity and some skill at being organized. The movers arrived all ready to take our things and load them up in the truck. We prepared ourselves for everything to fit in the smaller place by selling and giving away some of our furniture. This was furniture that had been with us for a long time, but parting with them didn't seem all that bad since we found people who could really use them. Watching our kids say good bye to their friends was a little heart breaking, although we wouldn't be moving far, but just the thought of them not being right down the block would be an adjustment for them. When we arrived at the new place reality hit. This was going to be our home for the next six months or so we thought. It ended up being 15 months to be exact. Had you of told us that back then we...

Short Note....

What's up blogging world? I haven't been on in a while. This one will be short and sweet. We are in the process of finalizing things with the move. Yes, still in the process. I've been sick, sick, sick. You'd think that being pregnant with #5 I'd be used to it by now, NOT. D. is in the process of starting his own blog, can't wait for that. And, last but not least I think I'm going to take the step to becoming "natural". Yes, no more perms. YIKES!! That's it for now. Hope it won't take me so long to come back.

16 Blocks & Inside Man

Mos Def was incredible. I can truly appreciate his talent as Artist and Actor. Many don't make the transition well but he has proved that some artist make great actors. He's versatile. His character in 16 Blocks is different for him and he handled it with expertise. The movie was good overall and took place in New York. Bruce Willis played a different character from what we are used to seeing from him and he also did a good job. Good Movie. I love Mos's flow when it comes to spitting verses in his music. You have to listen to what he is saying. Aside from some of the things you hear today his message has and adds value. Inside Man, unbelievably Disappointing! Me and D. got a chance to see both of these this past weekend when my Mom (mother-in-law) was here.

Slowly...but Surely

Still here. Yes, we have extended the moving until early next week. That's good because we are not done packing. I got great news on Tuesday, the baby is fine and intact. I have a little kidney bean that has a heart rate of 130. Pretty incredible for something so tiny. I haven't gotten around to taking a picture of the ultra sound picture, but I will soon and then post it.

At Peace

Things went well at the visit. I'm going back today to have an ultrasound done. They will be checking to see if they can get a more accurate size and due date. I'm a little nervous because I've been having some lite cramping and spoting, although I know that's normal in the beginning, it could also mean other things as well. I've been there too. My prayer is that His will be done. Don't start worrying girl. That's what I've been telling myself lately. Still don't know where we are going to be moving to. We are narrowing it down though. I know we'll know by the end of this week, have to. It's truly amazing how calm I really am. In any momment I could be pulling my hair out but what good would that do. My children don't need that, they need me to be whole. It's funny because last year I was telling D. that 2006 is going to be our best year yet and you know what? I still believe that. Our situation can turn in a momment. I know it can. ...
