What have I done to become green? Well, this is the very first year we are growing a veggie garden and I am thrilled! I have also begun to compost table scraps, leaves and other yard waste and coffee grounds/egg shells to have a nice fertilizer for the garden in the future! thanks for having the giveaway!

I am still a little new at this but I have taken a few steps to become a little more green. I try to use vinegar and baking soda around the house for cleaning, keeping ants away and stuff like that. I even have taught my girls about using newspaper and vinegar to clean glass. We try not to use paper towels when cleaning . We make rags out of old and stained clothes.

Our family is taking baby steps in going green. Our first step has been to use cloth napkins instead of paper napkins or paper towels.

let's see, we started an organic compost heap and when I feed baby, I use diaper cloths instead of paper towels. We recycle anything and everything recyclable as well. oh yeah, I use the hubby's old socks and t-shirts for cleaning! LOL!

Those toothbrushes are fantastic. We bought some a while back, and after getting used to the unusual angle, they became a favorite. Now our store doesn't carry them and I need to replace them so hopefully random.org will send me a little love??

We've done a few things to go green - replaced the 17mpg minivan for a 34mpg Chevy HHR. The savings in gas make up the car payment.

We also buy in bulk when we can to save on packaging waste.

And silly but effective - we diligently label and date leftovers in the fridge. There's less food waste and less cooking the day after a big meal because we now know what's what and we're more likely to nosh on leftovers.

Lisa I found your blog through a BlogUpp link on my site. Love it! Thanks!
