Saturday evening I had the pleasure of being a part of the one year anniversary celebration of 5 Continents. I enjoyed myself so much inside this little shop that I had to consciously contain myself. Shop owner Jennifer Saade' and her lovely mother Nicole who is from Paris, France entertained guests as they came to join in on the celebration.

{Jennifer and Nicole are standing in front of their  own personal handmade creations that include, baby accessories, handbags for travel (like the ones Nicole is holding up in the pictures below), tea pot covers, stuffed animals, jewelry, shoes and more}

5 Continents opened it’s doors one year ago in hopes of sharing their passion, love for the arts, and venue for local and international artist. Inspired by wanting to promote international art from all over the world Jennifer came up with the idea that is now 5 Continents. At 5 Continents, local and international artists from all over the world can introduce their handmade products and promote their business.  Their audience is now broadened which means many more opportunities to continue growing and spreading their work. Currently 5 Continents represents art from over 40 countries, each with it’s own unique touch that is special to the artist who created it. In addition each of these products have a story to tell with it’s own unique distinctive influence of the country they came from. There are so many treasures to choose from and it would do you good to take your time browsing each area and country. This way you won’t miss the intricate details that makes the product what it is.

{Art from Africa, Lil’ Sprout Knits, they also have a facebook page, and art by Gifts on a Mission}

Gifts on a Mission is a wonderful program that helps to create opportunities for artists in developing countries by purchasing their works and introducing them to us. When we purchase these items profits from those sales go directly toward assisting orphans and other children in impoverished conditions. When you visit 5 Continents ask to see the display.

In opening up the doors to 5 Continents last year, Jennifer has also opened up the world to so many. The artist can showcase their products along side other beautifully handmade pieces and feel good about having them there. The consumer is introduced to local artists and artists from all across the world. Now thanks to 5 Continents, we don’t have to travel the world to purchase beautiful international art and support these talented artists.

If you’re interested in knowing how your handmade products can be a part of 5 Continents, you can make an appointment to meet with Jennifer and show your pieces.
