Oprah's Big Give - He Totally Missed It!

Sunday night on Oprah's Big Give, Sheg completely missed it!! The family he was supposed to be showing some love to had 28 children!!! Yes, 28. 24 were adopted and 4 were there biological. Who in their right mind adopts 24 children all with special needs. For the most part from what I could tell most of them had Down Syndrome. This couple has certainly got a big heart and love children. They needed the Big Give in BIG way!

The family makes it a point to spend every bit of their $ wisely, like only spending $1500 a month on groceries. Can you believe that? That's way cheap for a family that size. We spend around $800 a month for a family of 7. Someone please do the math and tell me what formula she's using, please.

Sheg has an opportunity to help them in a BIG way. Do you know what he does - cleans out their garage and spends $500 on food and decorations for a party. You should have seen the look on the moms face, total disappointment. She was probably thinking about the clothes, shoes, shampoo, toothpaste, and GROCERIES they could have bought if he just gave them the $$ to decide for themselves on how to spend it. How about spending the money on a team of babysitters? I would imagine this couple doesn't get to date often.

My Monday Morning Started At 11:00PM...Last Night!

We had to take little j. to the Doctor this morning because last night he didn't sleep good and neither did we. He kept crying and crying and wouldn't stop. We were completely thrown because he had such a good day. Could it be: 1. He's teething and it's bothering him? Yes, but a little baby Orajel and infants Tylenol should have done the trick. It didn't. 2. I ate something that didn't agree with him? Of course we couldn't come up with anything. 3. He was just so tired from everything we did yesterday and it was hard for him to fall asleep? Maybe. 4. He got bit by a bug and we didn't know? We checked all over, no bites. We even checked to see if there was a piece of hair wrapped around his little fingers and toes. None! 5. Because he's teething he could have an ear infection? Yes very possible but he didn't show the usual signs: fever, pulling at his ears (that looked like it was out of the norm for him because it's something he does often...

The other day a friend of mine asked me, where have you been? She then proceeded to say, it's like you fell off the face of the earth. I laughed and said, "no, I've actually fallen onto the face of the earth". Girl, thanks for that little laugh, I appreciated the moment :) I've fallen onto the face of the earth and bumped right into my family, friends (old and new), business partners, business meetings, social gatherings, moms meetings, and so many activities for the kids, life has been busy. My natural journey has opened so many doors, talk about beautiful women. Sistah's who have inspired me to keep going and stay focused on the end result rather than the transitioning stage.
