Her First Book!

Guess who is writing her first book!!!! Yes it's my oldest daughter Tanisha. She is so talented. The other morning she came to me and said "mommy I've written my first book". Book? "yes, I had this idea and then next thing you know the idea led into a book". She couldn't hardly wait to read it to us. So we waited until D. got home from work because we wanted everyone to be there. After she read it, D. and I looked at each other in astonishment!!! She really has something here.

We are going to work on developing it more to see where this can lead. Tanisha is so excited and looking forward to the possibilities, she's already started working on the next one.
I'll keep you posted on how it's going!

    I have been writing for years and it started at a very early age with a journal my father gave me for Christmas. I am now published even though I'll never be rich or famous from it, it has paid a lot of bills. I think it is wonderful that she is starting young.

Inspired To Write...

The other day a friend of mine asked me, where have you been? She then proceeded to say, it's like you fell off the face of the earth. I laughed and said, "no, I've actually fallen onto the face of the earth". Girl, thanks for that little laugh, I appreciated the moment :) I've fallen onto the face of the earth and bumped right into my family, friends (old and new), business partners, business meetings, social gatherings, moms meetings, and so many activities for the kids, life has been busy. My natural journey has opened so many doors, talk about beautiful women. Sistah's who have inspired me to keep going and stay focused on the end result rather than the transitioning stage. These days I mostly wear my hair in a ponytail-bun. I don't have time to get all fancy, but when I can I'll do a two-strand twist style and use my latest product discovery, Oyin Handmade . My Monday Morning Started At 11:00PM...Last Night!

We had to take little j. to the Doctor this morning because last night he didn't sleep good and neither did we. He kept crying and crying and wouldn't stop. We were completely thrown because he had such a good day. Could it be: 1. He's teething and it's bothering him? Yes, but a little baby Orajel and infants Tylenol should have done the trick. It didn't. 2. I ate something that didn't agree with him? Of course we couldn't come up with anything. 3. He was just so tired from everything we did yesterday and it was hard for him to fall asleep? Maybe. 4. He got bit by a bug and we didn't know? We checked all over, no bites. We even checked to see if there was a piece of hair wrapped around his little fingers and toes. None! 5. Because he's teething he could have an ear infection? Yes very possible but he didn't show the usual signs: fever, pulling at his ears (that looked like it was out of the norm for him because it's something he does often...
